CYCC Nominations for RYA Council

This year we have TWO candidates for election to the RYA Council who are supported by CYCC as people likely to further the cause of Cruising in the Council's deliberations. They are:

• David Darbyshire (CYCC Hon Sec), and
• Mark Kemmis Betty, recently retired as Commodore of Royal Dorset YC.

David is proposed to CYCC for endorsement by the Royal Cruising Club. Mark is proposed by the Royal Naval Sailing Association.

I urge all CYCC member clubs to draw these names to the attention of their members and to encourage those who are personal members of the RYA to use their votes in favour of these two candidates in the forthcoming Council Election.

Please use all available means to get this message to your members prior to the ballot, including an e-mail "round robin" if possible. The voting papers will go out with the RYA Magazine on or about 10th September.
