At the RYA AGM held at Church House, Westminster on 13 October 2004, both the CYCC supported candidates were successful. They are David Darbyshire (CYCC Hon Sec) and Mark Kemmis Betty, recently retired as Commodore of Royal Dorset YC.
Frank Singleton received an RYA Community Award for his work in making weather forecasting information accessible to those who go cruising.
