Inmarsat is looking at some new possibilities for a satellite replacement for the HF WeatherFax services. Development could be quite expensive and it would be very helpful in building the business case if we could put together whatever info there is concerning disquiet among the seagoing fraternity at the atrophy of these charts. If any of you has any reports/complaints from sea about the probable loss of HF fax charts, would you be good enough to pass them on to me for onward transmission to Inmarsat? Thanks in anticipation.
